The Women’s Study Club was active on San Juan Island for 95 years. Pictured here is Fanny Lake Driggs, its first president in 1914.

Prior to disbanding in 2008, the club’s dedication to community service and lifelong learning inspired countless future civic leaders. Its legacies include Memorial Park, educational scholarships, and saving the church building we know today as the Grange.

Join San Juan Historical Society & Museum board member Robin Jacobson at the Village at the Harbor on Thursday, September 8th, at 1:30pm for a presentation on this visionary group which dared to think big. The public is invited to the free event.
